NY-BEST comments to the IRS on Notice 2015-70

The IRS issued a notice soliciting comments on the definition of certain property  and equipment qualifying for the energy credit under Section 48 of the Internal Revenue Code.

NY-BEST Policy Update, January 15, 2016 – Governor Cuomo’s State of the State and Budget Address, Value of DER and Dynamic Load Management Programs

On  January 13, 2016, Governor Andrew A. Cuomo delivered the 2016 State of the State and Budget Message. The Governor’s “Built to Lead” Policy book includes information related to each of these proposals. The PSC issued a Notice Soliciting Comments and Proposals on Interim Successor to Net Energy Metering and PSC granted utilities an extension until February 16, 2016 to submit their dynamic load management program filings.

Clean Energy Fund Information Supplement

In the Clean Energy Fund (CEF) Proposal and the new CEF Information Supplement, NYSERDA seeks a 10-year funding commitment to work in coordination with other New York State policies in support of the Reforming the Energy Vision (REV) strategy. The total requested funding level over 10 years is $5.3 billion, which includes funding for the Green Bank, NY-Sun, NYSERDA's Market Development Portfolio (energy efficiency and distributed renewable energy), and the Innovation Portfolio. The CEF is the next evolution of state clean energy programs and is part of a strategy to build a cleaner, more resilient, and affordable energy infrastructure for New York State
