NYS PSC REV Order - Adopting Regulatory Policy Framework and Implementation Plan (Track One)

On February 26, 2015, the NYS Public Service Commission (PSC)  issued an Order Adopting Regulatory Policy Framework and Implementation Plan (Track One) for the Reforming the Energy Vision (REV) proceeding.

Governor Cuomo issued a press release announcing the Order.

PSEG Long Island Updated Utility 2.0 Plan

On October 6th, 2014,  in response to comments received by industry, stakeholder groups, the public and the Department of Public Service, PSEG Long Island, submitted an Updated Utility 2.0 Plan.  The Updated Plan, all comments submitted to DPS and other related documents can be found on the DPS website at http://documents.dps.ny.gov/public/MatterManagement/CaseMaster.aspx?MatterCaseNo=14-01299&submit=Search+by+Case+Number

NYSERDA’s Clean Energy Fund Proposal

On September 23rd, 2014, NYSERDA submitted its proposal for a new Clean Energy Fund (CEF), Pursuant to the PSC Order issued on May 8, 2014 .  In its proposal, NYSERDA seeks to establish a 10 year program that will work in coordination with other State efforts to advance cleaner, more resilient, and more affordable energy infrastructure.  The CEF is intended to  manage NYSERDA’s program approaches to better align with the market outcomes envisioned through the Reforming the Energy Vision (“REV”) proceeding.

NY-BEST's Comments on REV Straw Proposal

On September 22, 2014, NY-BEST submitted comments to the NYSPSC  on the Department of Public Service staff’s REV Straw Proposal. These comments reflect input received from NY-BEST members.

NY-BEST Comments on PSEG Long Island’s Proposed Utility 2.0 Plan

On July 1st, PSEG-Long Island released its proposed Utility 2.0 Long Range Plan. http://documents.dps.ny.gov/public/Common/ViewDoc.aspx?DocRefId={EC2ADDD2-5FE1-44A0-A6F2-36AC02B1F29A}    NYS PSC requested comments on the proposed plan and in response,  NY-BEST submitted comments to PSC.

Clean Energy Fund Proceeding Commenced

The NYS Public Service Commission (PSC) has commenced a proceeding to consider creating a Clean Energy Fund.  PSC commenced the Clean Energy Fund a proceeding (14-M-0094) in May 2014. The purpose of the proceeding is to examine ways in which the State’s clean energy funding programs (Energy Efficiency Portfolio Standard, Renewable Portfolio Standard, Systems Benefit Charge) can be made more efficient and can be deployed or redeployed to stimulate innovation and increase clean energy investment.  The PSC Clean Energy Fund proceeding is intended to complement and support the goals of the REV proceeding. NY-BEST will be providing comments to the PSC in this proceeding and we welcome member input.

Reforming the Energy Vision (REV) Straw Proposal

On August 22nd, 2014, the New York State Department of Public Service staff has issued a Straw Proposal for the Reforming the Energy Vision (REV) Proceeding.  Comments are due on the proposal to the PSC by September 22nd.  NY-BEST has been actively participating in the REV proceeding and will continue to do so. We welcome input from NY-BEST members.

NY-BEST supports the NYS PSC's efforts to transform New York's electric industry with the objective of creating market-based, sustainable products and services that drive an increasingly efficient, clean, reliable and customer-oriented industry.  NY-BEST envisions over the longer term the electric grid to be a bidirectional, transactive, and situationally-aware system.
