Major Update to NY-BEST Website Resource Database

NY-BEST recently updated an important resource on our website. The "New York State Resources" database can be found here and also by looking under the "Business" tab on the NY-BEST home page.  The database allows for quick searches for New York State-based testing and manufacturing resources, as well as individual experts in New York in energy storage-related fields.

Once you're on the page for the NYS Resources database, you can choose among a number of pre-defined "Capability Types" (e.g. electrical testing, environmental/mechanical testing, individual expert, materials characterization, program description and systems integration testing) and "Region" (Capital Region, Central New York, Finger Lakes, Long Island, New York City, North Country, Southern Tier and Western New York) to narrow your search results. You can also search by keywords that you enter.

I'd like to give a word of thanks to Pete Zumpano, our summer intern (who has, thankfully, agreed to stick around through the Fall) for his work in updating and restructuring this valuable asset. Pete will be a Junior at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering at the University at Albany, and we've already benefitted from his skills and hard work.  You might have seen emails or received calls from him as part of his work to update the resources database, and I thank those of you who responded.

If you find that you'd like to add information to or edit your exisiting entry in the database, please contact me and I'll put you in touch with Pete. We'd love to have you included, and we're striving to keep this resource accurate and up-to-date!

Best,
